Dear Readers,

“One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Chesire cat in a tree. “Which road do I take?” she asked. “Where do you want to go?” was his response. “I don’t know”, Alice answered. “Then,” said the cat, “it doesn’t matter.” – Lewis Carroll, Author

This quote is from the story “Alice in Wonderland” and it has very deep meaning. Throughout my conversations, one thing probably struck out significantly is the need for the company to know the direction. If we don’t know where we are heading, then we would be going nowhere. I would iterate again – we would put our solution in every enterprise mobile device. That is our vision and that is our direction.

Besides knowing where we want to go, we also need to be able to take risks and also be mindful of risks. Being small and with limited resources, we can’t be attacking every front. We would have to be selective and be focused on grounds where our odds of winning are higher and we have to take our chances. No doubts. Reach out eagerly and without fear for new and rich experiences. That is the way I drive myself and our company.

Following Oct, where I travelled to two new frontiers – codenamed Mars and Venus. These were tough trips. Unknown conditions. I have to lead as I want to assess myself on the actual terrain and ground conditions. Both trips were fruitful. This month, we need to travel further – Jupiter. Large, unexplored and tough terrain. From the point of departing my home, it was a brand new experience all the way. Travelling on a new airline, new territory, new culture and we made new friends. I am happy that Apollo has landed in Jupiter. The condition is very different from Mars and Venus. But I see opportunities. We have good partners there and we were focussed on finding opportunities. We are confident we will be able to establish ourselves in Jupiter. More Apollo flights in future !

Having explored all three new territories, I have clearly appreciated the business competition. It is natural that when there are lucrative deals, there will be competition. I like being the underdog. of course,
we are small, we have to fight against the incumbents, fight against current leaders in the field. But we are not afraid. We know our strength and we will fight as underdogs.

We will win because we can walk on water. And the secret of walking on water is knowing where the rocks are. We will and we can win.

With best regards,
Chee Wah
